The MD/MPH program will allow medical students at Jefferson Medical College to take a full year “plus” in public health to obtain an MPH degree in conjunction with their medical school education.
After the second or third year of medical school, MD/MPH students will take a year of courses in public health that include a short community-based public health experience (Clerkship) and a final Capstone project. The Capstone may be completed in the summer of the year or during elective time in the final year of medical school.
