Student Outcomes NAPLEX & Match Rate Success

NAPLEX Pass Rate is Top 20% in the Nation: The College of Pharmacy congratulates the PharmD Class of 2023 who endured through the pandemic and maintained a focus on their learning. Jefferson graduates maintained a high standard with an 86.7% first-time test-taker pass rate on the NAPLEX, which is in the top 20% of all ACPE-accredited programs. Jefferson graduates continue to outperform the national average of 78.6% pass rate, and they increased the gap between Jefferson graduates and grads from most other Pennsylvania programs.
Pharmacy Residency Match rate is in the top 10%: The Doctor of Pharmacy Class of 2024 had a 90% match rate for pharmacy residency — placing them in the top 10% in the country. This continues the college’s tradition of matching higher than the national average (74% this year). In addition, the Class of 2023 boasted a 100% match for those pursuing an optional second year of residency training (vs. 77% nationally).

Featured News Jefferson College of Pharmacy Ranked by U.S. News & World Report as a Best Graduate School

We're proud to be named among the top 50 pharmacy programs in the country, according to the 2024 U.S. News & World Report Best Graduate Schools Rankings. Jumping in the rankings to No. 44 “confirms the outstanding efforts of our faculty and staff and the diligence of our students who truly soak up every experience,” says Dr. Mary Hess, interim dean of the College of Pharmacy.

Doctor of Pharmacy

Our curriculum will prepare its graduates to provide patient-centered and population-based care that ensures optimal health

MS in Population Health Pharmacy

This program focuses on the impact of the distribution of health determinants on those receiving medication management services by pharmacists.

MS In Pharmaceutical Sciences

Graduates of the this program will demonstrate expertise in the design and application of research methodologies to meet the needs of the evolving biomedical and pharmaceutical industries and academic laboratories.

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)/Master of Public Health (MPH) Dual Degree

The PharmD/MPH dual degree recognizes the growing synergy between the fields of pharmacy and public health practice and reflects the growing interest among professionals to seek advanced graduate training in research methods, leadership, and population health.

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)/Master of Business Administration (MBA)

The PharmD/MBA prepares students for careers in management positions. Students may concentrate their studies in specialty areas such as biopharmaceutical commercialization, health analytics, business and management.
