TJU Commencement Information
JSHP Academic Honors
To graduate with honors from the Jefferson School of Health Professions, a student must:
Complete a minimum of 60 credits in a bachelor's degree program or 30 credits in an associate degree program from the School.
Earn at least 50% of these credits in graded courses (non-Pass/Fail).
Achieve a cumulative grade point average as follows:
- Cum Laude 3.50
- Magna Cum Laude 3.70
- Summa Cum Laude 3.85
The GPA is calculated on grades earned in Jefferson courses only. Transfer courses are not included. Honors will be announced during the commencement ceremony when the individual graduate's name is called. Honors will appear on official transcripts and on the diplomas of those graduates who will finish with an Associate or a Bachelor degree.
