Temple University Student | PhD in Molecular Technology
Philadelphia, PA
I’m currently working on my PhD in Molecular Technology at Temple University. In the future, I’d like to get my own lab or work for a pharmaceutical company. I chose Jefferson because at the time, I was interested in genetics. Biotechnology is closely related to genetics, and it really seemed like Jefferson had their biotechnology program together. It’s a well-rounded program, and one of the first established in the country.
Jefferson is different from any other university because its faculty has their own research projects in the works, which help them stay current in their fields.
I received several job offers through my clinical rotations. The clinical experience ultimately helped me get into the PhD program at Temple.
I had hands-on use of Jefferson’s state-of-the-art equipment, which no other university has.
Jefferson has small class sizes, so faculty always had time to help us. Faculty members still stay in contact with me. My faculty contacts give me career advice and connections to multiple job offers.
