As part of the Jefferson School for Health Professions, Jefferson Elder Care offers certifications for occupational therapists seeking to provide better services for older adults.
Certification Training in Evidence-Based Programs
Jefferson Elder Care offers independent certification training for occupational therapists interested in providing its evidence-based programs. Once certified, OT’s can offer the services for up to two years. Both services can be reimbursed by Medicare Part A or B if the client has a skilled occupational therapy need as determined by a comprehensive occupational therapy evaluation. Skills2Care™ — a home-based occupational therapy program that improves well-being and skills of family caregivers, slows decline in daily functioning of persons with dementia and reduces challenging behaviors that can trigger nursing home placement.
2013 training dates: February 7 & 8; May 9 & 10; August 8 & 9; November 7 &8.
