There are two radiologic sciences baccalaureate programs: a two-year
Multicompetency program and a one-year Advanced Placement program.
Both are full-time programs that begin in the fall.
MULTICOMPETENCY PROGRAMS (TWO YEAR)
- Designed for students who do not have an education in medical
imaging or in a health discipline
- 24-month full-time program beginning in September
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Radiologic Sciences is granted
by the University upon satisfactory completion of the prescribed
two-year curriculum.
- To become certified in their specialization, students must
take a national examination.

Acceptance Policy for Multicompetency Students
Statement of Purpose
The Department does not guarantee acceptance into the program of choice for students entering the second year of a multicompetency program. Program acceptance may require all or some of the following:
- 3.0 GPA
- Letters of recommendation
- Interview by program director
- Interview and acceptance by a clinical site
ADVANCED PLACEMENT PROGRAMS (ONE YEAR)
- Designed for students who have a baccalaureate degree
including prerequisite coursework or have (50)
credits in specific courses and professional experience* or certification
for which they will receive an additional (39) professional credits.
- 12-month full-time program beginning in September
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Radiologic Sciences
is granted by the University upon satisfactory completion of the prescribed
one-year curriculum.
- To become certified in their specialization, students
must take a national examination.

- JRCDMS (Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical

- JRCCVT (Joint Review Committee on Education in Cardiovascular Technology)
- JRCERT (Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology)
- JRCNMT (Joint Review Committee on Education in Nuclear Medicine Technology)
- One of the six regional accrediting organizations
