Thomas Jefferson University’s Radiologic Sciences Program Recognized for Meeting High Educational Standard

The Department of Radiologic Sciences in the Jefferson School of Health Professions at Thomas Jefferson University’s College of Health Professions announces the recent accreditation of its Medical Dosimetry program. The program has been recognized for providing the scope and quality of professional preparation required in the field and exceeding the educational standards set by the review committees.

Department Chair Frances Gilman, MS, RT(R)(CT)(MR)(CV)ARRT, received formal recognition of the accreditation by the  nationally recognized accrediting agency, the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).

Jefferson’s medical dosimetry program is one of eight recently accredited programs, and one of only three baccalaureate programs recognized by JRCERT.  “I am very pleased to announce that the Medical Dosimetry program received full initial programmatic accreditation,” says Ms. Gilman. “Congratulations to  Dr. Andrew Wu,  Donna Powell, BS, CMD, RT(T), Karen D’Adamo AS,RT(T), CMD and all of our clinical affiliates who support the program.”

JCHP has three schools: a School of Health Professions (consisting of the Departments of Bioscience Technologies, Couple and Family Therapy, General Studies, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Radiologic Sciences), a School of Nursing and School of Pharmacy.
