CARAH Research Scientist Featured on NPR
Nancy Hodgson, RN, PhD, Research Scientist at Thomas Jefferson University’s Center for Applied Research on Aging and Health was recently interviewed by the west coast affiliate of NPR, KNPR Las Vegas. The segment, which ran on the “State of Nevada” program on February 20, focused on the topic of dying alone, specifically on the challenges of finding the cause of death for the estimated 1,000 Clark County residents who died alone in their homes last year from natural causes.
NPR invited Dr. Hodgson to participate in the radio broadcast because of her background in the Demography of Aging and her work on end of life care in the medically frail elderly population.
