Gitlin to Present Caregiver Learning Session
Caregivers of Alzheimer’s patients are invited to participate in a free telephone learning session on caregiving on Tuesday, July 24.
Topics to be discussed:
- Managing Problem Behaviors in Alzheimer’s Patients
- Reducing Caregiver Stress
Laura Gitlin, PhD, director of the Center for Applied Research on Aging and Health (CARAH) at Thomas Jefferson University, will be the expert panelist for this session of the Series on Caregiving presented by The Caregiver Support Center at the Rosalynn Carter Institute.
Dr. Gitlin has conducted extensive research with caregivers of patients with Alzheimer’s Disease or other forms of dementia. Her specialties include family caregiving, home-based programs to improve the functional status of older adults and caregivers, and home modifications and adaptation to disabilities.
