Speakman Appointed a Mentor in Nursing Faculty Leadership & Mentoring Program

Elizabeth Speakman, EdD, RN, CDE, ANEF, associate professor and assistant dean of RN to BSN programs at Jefferson School of Nursing in Thomas Jefferson University’s Jefferson College of Health Professions, has been appointed a mentor in the Faculty Leadership & Mentoring Program, a nursing education program funded by a grant from the Johnson & Johnson Campaign for Nursing’s Future. She was chosen for this role because of her position as a fellow of the National League for Nursing Academy of Nursing Education.

The program pairs mentors with protégés who were selected based on demonstrated evidence of teaching effectiveness and a clear rationale for specific leadership development goals. A total of five mentors and protégés are participating in the program, which requires each pair to complete a leadership development project.

Dr. Speakman has been paired with protégé Theresa Puckett, MSN, RN, CPNP, CNE, of Cuyahoga Community College in Ohio.
