Expertise and Research Interests
DESCRIPTION: The purpose of this project is to provide an innovativeresearch-based program for minority students from an Associate Degree inNursing program at CCP to TJU. The program, Improving MinorityProfessionals' Access to Research Tracks IMPART will enable minoritystudents to: 1 earn credits towards the baccalaureate degree, 2access counseling and career development services, 3 work withresearch role models in academic and clinical settings, 4 fast-trackinto the Master of Science in Nursing MSN program, and 5 participatein presentations and publications with project personnel. The projectstaff will provide for those special needs which include: closemonitoring of academic progress, individual counseling, flexible timeframe for completing assignments, and exposure to minority faculty andclinical mentors. Students will receive academic, financial andpsychological support during their participation in this program.
