Chair, Department of Physical Therapy Jefferson School of Health Professions
The Jefferson School of Health Professions is seeking an innovative and visionary leader for the position of Chair of the Department of Physical Therapy. This well-established Department has an entry-level DPT program, which is fully accredited, and a post-professional transitional DPT program, which has a mixed on-line and on-campus format. In ad¬dition, Department faculty participate in a geriatric clinical residency program with a local home health care provider. The position is a 12-month full-time appointment. The new Chair will participate in establishing University-wide inter¬disciplinary/ interprofessional innovations in education, scholarship/research and practice within the newly reorganized School. Jefferson School of Health Professions is dedicated to educating future leaders in Physical Therapy, Bioscience Technologies, Couple and Family Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Radiologic Sciences. The School relates closely to the Center for Applied Research on Aging and Health (CARAH) and Child and Family Studies. Both focus on re¬search, education and teaching initiatives.

Qualifications: Applicant must be a licensed physical therapist and hold earned PhD or equivalent degree from an ac¬credited college or university; have proven experience in program development and administration; commitment to experiential and interdisciplinary/interprofessional education; demonstrate leadership ability and interpersonal commu¬nication skills, and show a record of scholarship and teaching effectiveness. Applicants must be eligible for Pennsylvania licensure.
Responsibilities: Academic administration, faculty and curriculum development, pursuit of scholarship.
