Disability Accomodation

In an effort to assist students with special needs, the College has approved the following procedures:

  • A student requesting accommodation for a disability must submit to the Office of Student Affairs documentation of that disability that is three years old or less from an appropriate disabilities specialist.
  • The student must provide documentation of accommodations (if any) provided at previous academic institutions.
  • The student must request specific accommodations based on the foregoing information.
  • Representatives of the Office of Student Affairs will meet with faculty in the student’s school or department to determine the appropriateness of the requested accommodation. Deliberations may include other University officials and additional learning disabilities specialists.
  • Representatives of the Office of Student Affairs and the school and/or academic department will meet with the student to arrange appropriate accommodations.

Questions regarding this policy should be directed to the Office of Student Affairs at 215-503-8189 or via email at JCHPStudentAffairs@jefferson.edu.
