Wills Eye Hospital
Neuro-ophthalmologic care is provided in one of the most advanced eye centers ever constructed: Wills Eye Hospital. Wills Eye has been recognized as one of the top three ophthalmology centers in the United States by U.S.News & World Report for the last 16 consecutive years.
Directed by Dr. Peter J. Savino, patients are evaluated and treated for illnesses or medical conditions that affect the eye-brain connection. The Wills Eye Neuro-Ophthalmology Service treats the ocular manifestations of various conditions, such as thyroid eye disease (Graves' eye disease) or autoimmune diseases, such as multiple sclerosis (MS). In addition, the service also treats optic neuropathy, myasthenia gravis, and the ocular disorders that may occur with brain tumors, AIDS and stroke.
