This department is anchored by two separate but complementary disciplines: Physician Assistant Studies and the Doctor of Health Science. The events around the COVID-19 pandemic have highlighted the ongoing challenges of disparities in U.S. healthcare access, distribution and delivery. As the demand for health professionals continue to grow, we commit to prepare our future health care leaders for clinical practice, administrative, educational and research roles.
New Programs
In addition to our Doctor of Health Science (DHSc) Program, a fully online doctorate program to accommodate students who are working healthcare professionals, we have recently launched a Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS)/Doctor of Health Science (DHSc) Dual Degree Program.
