Welcome to the Department of Physical Therapy at Thomas Jefferson University!

As the new Chair of the Physical Therapy Department, I believe that many of the unique attributes of the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program that drew me to Jefferson are the same reasons that Jefferson may be the ideal fit for you: the opportunity to make your mark at a highly-ranked program with a national reputation, an excellent medical center in a dynamic urban setting, the opportunity to participate in interprofessional education with students from all healthcare professions in state-of-the-art educational environments, and a faculty committed to graduating students who are well-prepared to engage in professional outreach.

I am particularly excited because this wide range of assets moves students beyond the skills and knowledge of physical therapy to becoming highly effective professionals who can become first-line providers. With recent legislative changes and evolving practice, helping students think beyond the classroom to clinical practice is more important now than ever before. Because faculty model professionalism—and all that means within the context of tomorrow's healthcare environment—our students are able to master critical thinking and behaviors they need to be successful and confident. We invite you to learn more about how the DPT program at Thomas Jefferson University can meet your educational and professional goals. Please feel free to contact me with any additional questions.
