Now Open: SKMC Alumni Association Board Nominations
Nominations for consideration this year must be received by end of day, Monday, February 17, 2025.
We are actively seeking a diverse group of qualified nominees for elected positions on the Alumni Board. The Nominating Committee, in considering candidates for nomination as an Alumni Representative on the Alumni Board; and the Alumni Board, in electing its members; will take into consideration the diversity of the alumni members (based on ethnicity, race, age, and gender, as well as class year and field of professional endeavor or specialty, and geographic location). Alumni from Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, California, the Mid-West, New York, the Northwest, and the Northeast are encouraged, however any alumni from any geographic area are welcome to apply. To enhance board diversity, the organizational structure of SKMC, the University, and the then-existing composition of the Alumni Board, will give due consideration to the additional diverse qualities each candidate may contribute to the office in question and/or the Alumni Board, as applicable, as well as each candidate's previous support of SKMC and the University and service of the Alumni Association.

The Association shall provide for the exchange of information and ideas between SKMC, the University, and the SKMC alumni; shall present the opinions and recommendations of the SKMC alumni for administration and faculty of SKMC and the University; and shall serve as a resource for both SKMC and the University in advancing the missions and education goals of SKMC and the University, respectively.
To maintain active membership on the Alumni Board, members are expected to meet the following criteria:
- Attend at least 75% of both general body and committee meetings held throughout the year.
- Participate in at least one Jefferson alumni event in-person annually, with a preference for attending Alumni Weekend.
- Make an annual contribution of $2,500 to the medical college or any of its supporting funds, though this is suggested and not mandatory.
