Maria Poluch

Maria Poluch (Class of 2024) was born and raised in Allentown, Pa. Prior to attending the Sidney Kimmel Medical College (SKMC) at Thomas Jefferson University, Poluch graduated from Penn State University Schreyer Honors College majoring in Chemical Engineering. She worked at a pharmaceutical company as a chemical engineer for several years before transitioning into medicine.

Since matriculating, Poluch has become a class liaison for the American Medical Association Medical Student Section, working on new resolutions around medical student debt and race in medicine. She has also become part of the Jefferson research community, where her current efforts are in otolaryngology, specifically sleep apnea, and medical education. Her clinical interests include otolaryngology, pediatrics, and internal medicine.

Poluch currently serves as the medical student chair for the SKMC Alumni & Affiliates Committee.
