JeffMD: Educating Physicians Who Will Serve, Lead and Discover
Jefferson's new JeffMD curriculum, which launched in August 2017 with the Class of 2021, was designed to prepare students to practice modern medicine in a rapidly evolving health care system.
Join Mark Tykocinski, MD, Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs at Thomas Jefferson University and The Anthony F. and Gertrude M. DePalma Dean, Sidney Kimmel Medical College, for an insider's look into the three phases of the new curriculum which intertwines foundational science with clinical science throughout a student's four years of medical school. He will discuss the emphasis on small group cased-based learning and scholarly inquiry, and the elevation of health system science, evidence-based medicine, humanities, professionalism and wellness. Dr. Tykocinski will also share some early insights and lessons learned.
