Update on Vaginitis: What to Expect with CDC STD Treatment Guidelines
Join William Schlaff, MD, the Paul and Eloise Bowers Professor and chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Thomas Jefferson University, as he welcomes Jefferson OB/GYN alumni and former residents to an exclusive CME program* led by Co-director of the Jefferson Vulvovaginal Health Center, Paul Nyirjesy, MD, Residency ’89.
Every four-to-five years, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) publishes its Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) Treatment Guidelines. Through this CME program, Dr. Nyirjesy will provide an update on vaginal infections with an emphasis on the changes that are expected with the new guidelines, anticipated to be published in the winter of 2021.
The CDC guidelines are the most referenced source of information on the management of STDs in general and vaginal infections in particular. Since vaginal infections are the most common problem experienced by women, this program will provide attendees with the most current information on diagnosis and management.
