Jefferson Alumni Email Access
As of November 4, 2021, all Jefferson student email accounts will remain active for six months after graduation. What that means is student email accounts (@students.jefferson.edu) will be deactivated on the first day of the month, six months after a student’s official date of graduation. Please note the six months is aligned with the official date of graduation, not the dates of the Commencement ceremonies.
Please refer to the information below to assist you in planning your email account transition from your Jefferson student email account to your personal email account, and to learn how you can remain connected through the Jefferson Alumni Network.
Additional Information
The exact dates for students graduating during the 2021-22 academic year are as follows:
- Students graduating on December 31, 2021 – Jefferson email will be deactivated on July 1, 2022
- Students graduating in April and May 2022 – Jefferson email will be deactivated on December 1, 2022
- Students graduating on August 31, 2022 – Jefferson email will be deactivated on March 1, 2023
Please also note that if, following your graduation, you become a Jefferson employee, you will then be provided a new @jefferson.edu account.
We recommend that you start taking steps to move any emails you wish to keep from your @students.jefferson.edu account to your personal email account. To do so, please access the instructions currently posted under “Student Resources” on the University’s Commencement webpage or click the button below.

You will receive a separate email from the Office of Alumni Relations with an invitation to register early for the Jefferson Alumni Network. Log in before you graduate to activate your profile, add your post-graduation contact and career information, upload your résumé/CV and photograph, and link your social accounts.
Then, about a month after graduation, you’ll receive an email with a link to unlock full access to the Jefferson Alumni Network where you can maximize your personal and professional networking opportunities. Use the password-protected People Directory to search for alumni by name, class year, major, college, industry, specialty, or geographic region. Join the thousands of alumni who are already engaged through the professional and career development, lifelong learning, social, cultural, and networking programs held throughout the year. Stay in touch with campus news, events, alumni, faculty, and students by connecting with us on our social channels.

Jefferson will deactivate all existing alumni email accounts for alumni whose date of graduation is in August 2021 or prior on December 31, 2022.

Inside, you will have exclusive access to the Jefferson Alumni Network through a password-protected alumni directory searchable by name, class year, college, degree, specialty, and company, and a map that shows where alumni live near your current location.
