Through a combination of interactive courses, tailored field work, and a student-designed Capstone Project, Jefferson’s Public Health program will prepare students to have an impactful and rewarding career as public health professionals. Our small class sizes and committed faculty will provide students with the mentoring and support needed to launch careers.

The Master of Public Health (MPH) is a 45-credit degree.

The MPH degree requires the completion of 27 credits of core courses (including a non-crediting bearing clerkship) and 18 credits of concentration and elective courses.

Classes are held onsite at Thomas Jefferson University’s Center City Philadelphia campus. They are offered during the day and after 5 pm, accommodating working adults. There are four terms per year running September to June.

  • Pre-fall term runs June to August
  • Fall term runs September to December.
  • Spring term runs January to March.
  • Summer term runs April to June.

LPHT students can begin the program in any trimester (fall, spring, or summer). This flexibility allows both part-time and full-time students to complete coursework at their own pace. LEAP students begin in the fall trimester.
