Our Programs:

  • Master of Architecture

This NAAB accredited and STEM designated professional degree program is designed to prepare students for architectural practice. The program provides an interdisciplinary academic experience that positions architecture at the dynamic center of our shared social, technological and physical environment. A commitment to design excellence, social equity and sustainability is evident throughout the curriculum, equipping graduates with the creativity, competence, compassion and conviction to be positive agents of change.
  • MS in Architecture

The MS in Architecture program is an advanced post-professional, research- based degree, featuring two concentrations: Façade Design and Technology and High-Performance Building. This degree prepares students for specialist and consulting positions in the broad field of the built environment in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry.
  • MS in Construction Management

The MS in Construction Management program — offered on campus at East Falls, online and hybrid —is a hands-on post professional degree with a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to construction education and an unparalleled focus on sustainability. The STEM designated program is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills to plan and manage each phase of the construction process as applied to complex commercial, infrastructure and residential building projects.
  • MS in Geospatial Technology for Geodesign

The MS in Geospatial Technology for Geodesign degree is a 36-credit post professional program open to those interested in geographic information systems (GIS), urban planning and the allied design disciplines: architecture, landscape architecture, planning and engineering, as well as students with backgrounds or interest in GIS.
  • MS in Historic Preservation

The MS in Historic Preservation program not only prepares graduates to preserve historic buildings and sites, but also to re-envision and re-purpose the past to serve present and future needs. At Jefferson’s new Center for the Preservation of Modernism, students develop preservation protocols tailored to the unique character of early and mid-century modern architecture.
  • MS in Interior Architecture

The MS in Interior Architecture degree is a 49- or 69-credit graduate program uniquely crafted to meet the needs of students from non-design backgrounds seeking one of the best professional-level educations in interior design/interior architecture. This program offers a study away component by partnering with the Danish Institute for Study Abroad (DIS) in Copenhagen, Denmark, the Preservation Institute: Nantucket (PIN), Nantucket, MA, and the field school of the University of Florida’s Center for World Heritage & Stewardship.
  • MS in Real Estate Development

The MS in Real Estate Development program is a 37-credit, 12-course curriculum that is designed to be flexible for working professionals. The degree can be completed in 1 ½ to 2 ½ years on campus or online. All students come together once a semester for a 2-4 day residency to network and tour real project sites. The program focuses on the quadruple bottom line of real estate development – people, planet, profit and placemaking.
  • MS in Sustainable Design

The MS in Sustainable Design program offers a combination of lectures, labs and studios, where students build their knowledge base and then synthesize their learning in large complex, and oftentimes, real-world sustainability projects. The program offers a two-year, full-time program, a two-year online program, and a hybrid/flex program. Jefferson also offers Graduate Certificates in Sustainability Leadership, Design of Living Buildings and more.
  • Master in Urban Design – Future Cities

The Master of Urban Design – Future Cities (MUD) educates the next generation of urban designers, architects and researchers in the development of sustainable, healthy and smart cities and communities. Students have the opportunity to acquire new and valuable skills and benefit from state-of-the-art research at regional and transnational levels, thereby fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and creativity through knowledge exchange and multidisciplinary learning.
