Earn a High Annual Wage
The median annual wage for physician assistants is $101,480, which is significantly higher than several other health diagnosing and treating practitioners. Annual wages vary from industry to industry within the practices of physician assistants.
Dual-degree MS in Physician Assistant Studies/Doctor of Health Science
We offer a one-of-a-kind opportunity for students to now pursue a dual-degree Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies/Doctor of Health Science – (MSPAS/DHSc) degree in three years. The dual degree program will not only give you the training to be a practicing PA, but also the leadership and research skills to be an innovator and leader in healthcare.

Physician assistants are able to practice in a variety of settings and specialty areas, allowing them to have more choices than many other healthcare professionals. These specialties can range from family medicine to surgical subspecialities to emergency settings. Our students graduate with both the knowledge and confidence to succeed in any area of medicine.

Accreditation for Center City Program
The Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc. (ARC-PA) has granted Accreditation-Continued status to the Thomas Jefferson University Physician Assistant Program sponsored by Thomas Jefferson University. Accreditation-Continued is an accreditation status granted when a currently accredited program is in compliance with the ARC-PA Standards.
Accreditation remains in effect until the program closes or withdraws from the accreditation process or until accreditation is withdrawn for failure to comply with the Standards. The approximate date for the next validation review of the program by the ARC-PA will be June 2028. The review date is contingent upon continued compliance with the Accreditation Standards and ARC-PA policy.
