A Glance Back to 1884: New Student-Created Exhibit

The Philadelphia Textile School opened 140 years ago and has changed significantly since then. Fashion has, too!

A Glance Back to 1884, an exhibit created by second-year fashion design student Abby Brubaker and on display now, showcases 1880s garments and accessories from Gutman Library’s Textile and Costume Collection. The exhibit highlights how fashion has changed since the 1880s and puts on display clothing, shoes, and accessories. Check out the exhibit on the Ground Floor (basement) of the Gutman Library.

Join us for a reception on Thursday, March 21, at 12:30pm. Enjoy refreshments as you chat with other Jefferson community members interested in fashion and history!
