Bachelor of Landscape Architecture / MS in Sustainable Design
At a Glance
The accelerated 4+1 Bachelor of Landscape Architecture/MS in Sustainable Design (MSSD) Dual Degree provides a deep and authentic analysis of buildings and their surrounding environments. The curriculum covers sustainable energy solutions and associated programs, equipping students with knowledge about renewable energy, net zero energy building design, and sustainable site development.
The award-winning MS in Sustainable Design program has been recognized for its unique design approach and frameworks, such as integral sustainable design and systems thinking. This knowledge leads to comprehensive sustainable and resilient design solutions, where the neighborhood, architecture and site are designed as an integral whole. Employers value candidates who can not only design the built environment but also help meet sustainability goals and adhere to green building standards, making dual degree holders indispensable in the field.
By combining the two programs, a student achieves advanced standing in the 33-credit MS in Sustainable Design program and can complete the MS in Sustainable Design degree with an additional 21 credits.
