Research & Clinical Interest

Dr. Méndez-Diaz is a licensed marriage and family therapist and AAMFT approved supervisor candidate with 15+ years of clinical experience. Much of her clinical experience has focused on working with families impacted by trauma and addiction.  She has worked for several community-based organizations in the city of Philadelphia and surrounding areas. Dr. Méndez-Diaz has presented at national and international conferences and has provided her expertise to local television and radio stations. She owns and operates a private practice, NMD & Associates, and is a rostered Child Parent Psychotherapist. Her research interests include social media’s influence on families/relationships, trauma, addiction, infant mental health, and multicultural studies.
