Professor Shelby Carey started her career in fashion early, attending the High School of Fashion Industries in NYC. There, she obtained her certification in fashion design and created her brand Shelby Tyler Collection (STC). She then continued her education at Jefferson majoring in Fashion Merchandising and Management. After graduation, Shelby went on to work with several fashion brands in different sectors of the industry, such as childrenswear, bridal and zero waste activewear. For the past 3 years Shelby has been working on her brand STC full time. STC is a custom luxury womenswear brand for every special occasion in a woman's life: birthday, prom, sweet sixteen, wedding and more. Shelby is very excited to be back on campus as an Adjunct Professor teaching Prototyping to the next innovators in fashion.
