Katie Yamaguchi has worked in costuming for theater and film in the Philadelphia area for over a decade. She graduated from Moore College of Art & Design in 2012 majoring in Fashion Design and minoring in Textile Design. After graduating from Moore she worked all over the Philadelphia area from Walnut Street Theatre, to Opera Philadelphia to People’s Light Theater. She has also worked on several films and TV shows such as Creed II, Servant and 21 Bridges. She has designed costumes for plays and musicals with her recent work for People’s Light Theater production of “Hold These Truths.” Her next big chapter in life is starting her bridal seamstress business Katie Yamaguchi Couture. Her business offers bridal alterations, redesigns, and fully custom couture designs. She is excited to teach her knowledge of sewing to the next generation of fashion students!
