We are pleased to announce the appointment of Tejal Naik, MD, as our new Entrepreneur-in-Residence for the College of Population Health. In this important role, Dr. Naik will focus on bringing together healthcare professionals, students, and industry stakeholders committed to creating innovative solutions to complex healthcare challenges through intrapreneurship and entrepreneurship.
Dr. Naik's primary goal is to optimize the healthcare experience by empowering our professionals with entrepreneurial skills and intrapreneurial opportunities. He aims to build a community of intrapreneurs within Jefferson, dedicated to becoming both problem-seekers and problem-solvers. His vision is for a transformative initiative grounded in principles of innovation and intrapreneurship, ensuring that our students continue to advance as emerging leaders equipped with the mindset and skills necessary to navigate our ever-evolving healthcare landscape.
Dr. Naik brings broad knowledge to this role including a background in hospital medicine, clinical informatics, and digital health innovation. He graduated from Sidney Kimmel Medical College in 2016 and completed his internal medicine residency in 2019. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Clinical Informatics. Previously, he served as Clinical Lead and Senior Product Manager with the Digital Innovation and Consumer Experience (DICE) group, where he played a crucial role in advancing clinically oriented projects in the digital health and technology innovation space. Dr. Naik also holds certifications in healthcare entrepreneurship from the Wharton School of Business and healthcare leadership from Cornell University.
