Biography
Dr. Carlino is a results-driven operations executive, specializing in the healthcare and nursing sector, with extensive experience in process improvement, quality improvement, clinical research, staff education and development, change management, strategic planning, data analysis, and business development. She excels at identifying opportunities to improve patient satisfaction, developing innovative programs, and maintaining budget compliance while leading safe, quality patient care programs.
Dr. Carlino enjoyed a progressive career at Virtua where she started as a unit secretary while in nursing school. She has had many roles at Virtua including AVP for Community Health Services, Six Sigma Black Belt and various nursing leadership roles including system Chief Nursing Officer. Dr. Carlino led Virtua to their first ANCC Magnet Designation. Dr. Carlino enjoys teaching at LaSalle University and Jefferson College of Population Health while also doing private consulting for healthcare organizations.
Dr. Carlino graduated with a diploma and associates degree in nursing from Helene Fuld School of Nursing and went on to receive her BSN from La Salle University. She has a master’s degree in Organization Management from the University of Phoenix and her DNP from La Salle University. Dr. Carlino is certified as an Advanced Nurse Executive and Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality and is a Six Sigma Black Belt. She has served on many Boards including the American Diabetes Association of South Jersey, the Goodwill Industries of Southern NJ and Philadelphia and the Organization of Nurse Leaders NJ.
