Biography
Bhushan has worked in various roles at different healthcare companies in the last 15 years - as a consultant, as a data scientist, as an analyst. When he was at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, he analyzed payer claims data in commercial and employer group reporting (cost focus) as well as Medicaid reporting (Quality focus). At Ascension he has been working on analytics associated with various government programs such as Medicare (FFS as well as ACO and other alternative payment models such as Medicare shared savings and Medicare Advantage).
Bhushan likes to fetch insights from the underlying data to tell stories, communicate insights and create actionable reports. Using data and analytics as a tool, he believes in building relationships between business and technology. Bhushan also enjoys coaching and mentoring professionals along the way.
Bhushan is originally from India with a bachelor's degree in engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. He came to the U.S. to do his master’s at University of New Mexico and settled in the data analytics industry as a professional. Bhushan is very interested in athletics (running, cycling) and sports (pickleball, cricket). He is married and lives with wife Manjiri and three kids in Austin, Texas.
