BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Carrie Kanzinger is a Manager of Data Science at Main Line Health. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Lafayette College, completing her honors thesis and subsequent publication in the development of a bio-mathematical model for substrate concentrations in tissues surrounding single capillaries. In her 18-year tenure at Main Line, Carrie has also received an MBA at Villanova University with a dual concentration in Strategic Management and Management Information Systems as well as a PhD in Population Health Sciences specializing in Health Data Science. In her current role, Carrie has become an analytics expert in Emergency Department and Surgical Services data as well as a champion for advancing analytics in health disparities and data capture of social factors influencing access to health care. Carrie also serves as an active member of the Main Line Health Analytics Co-Leads and Data Governance teams as well as Health Equity in Action workgroup. In 2020, Carrie was a finalist in Academy Health’s (AH) Research competition for her thematic analysis of suicide research from AH’s HRSProj database and in 2023 was nominated for Academy Health’s Outstanding Dissertation Award. Carrie is also actively pursuing paper submissions to various national journals for her current research in ED Utilization.
