The Master of Science in Population Health/Doctor of Medicine Dual Degree program is open to students enrolled at Jefferson’s Sidney Kimmel Medical College. The MS in Population Health degree will be earned through the asynchronous, online graduate program at the Jefferson College of Population Health.
Sidney Kimmel Medical College students have the option of stepping out of medical college to complete the MS coursework between Phase 1 and Phase 2, or between Phase 2 and Phase 3 of their medical college curriculum. Students return to Phase 2 or 3 at Sidney Kimmel Medical College the following April.
Students enrolled in the MS Population Health Research Inquiry Track at Sidney Kimmel Medical College (view Scholarly Inquiry Tracks here) will receive credit toward their required 3-credit elective course in the MS in Population Health degree.
MS in Population Health/Doctor of Medicine students from Sidney Kimmel Medical College begin in the College of Population Health Summer A term (late April/early May) and finish their MS coursework with a Capstone presentation the following College of Population Health Spring A term (late February). Both degrees (MD and MS) are conferred upon graduation from Sidney Kimmel Medical College in the May Commencement upon completion of the MD.
