Dr. Evans has a clinical background working with pediatric populations in early intervention, school-based, and outpatient settings. Dr. Evans’ research interests include culturally responsive practice and interdisciplinary collaboration, particularly in improving school-based practice and exploring how identity impacts how individuals work together. Her scholarly work has included topics of cultural responsiveness for non-mainstream dialect speakers, recruitment and retention of a diverse special education workforce, and the collaborative experiences of racially minoritized school-based speech-language pathologists.
