Research & Clinical Interests
Irene S. Jackson has practiced as a speech-language pathologist for 20 years working across a variety of settings. Her clinical areas of expertise include pediatric feeding and swallowing, early intervention, autism and neurodiversity, and childhood apraxia of speech. She is a certified lactation counselor with a special interest in supporting mothers in breastfeeding infants with complex medical needs. Her current professional focus is on clinical education to best prepare the next generation of speech-language pathologists for clinical practice. She works to provide optimal support and training to clinical educators/supervisors and students.
