Acute presentation of sickle cell disease:
-Clinical and basic science aspects of acute vasoocclusive sickle cell crisis in adult emergency department patients.
-The role of nitric oxide (NO, an endogenous vasodilator) and l-arginine (the precursor to NO) in the pathophysiology of the disease.
