I am interested in clinical teaching, especially to improve thinking skills.  The potential for diseases in the thorax, such as possible cardiac ischemia or possible pulmonary embolism, are especially interesting areas to examine.  Such conditions are serious, occupy a lot of doctor time, have multiple decision support tools in clinical use,  are malpractice risks, and involve working up and using a lot of local and regional resources on a large fraction of patients who turn out not to have anything dangerous.  I also like to teach thinking skills with practice oral board cases.
