Research & Clinical Interests
Dr. Nakita is an Instructor in the Division of Population Science, Department of Medical Oncology at the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. She recently completed her postdoctoral research fellowship under Dr. Grace Lu-Yao at Thomas Jefferson University. Her research is mainly focused in three areas: 1) health outcomes of chemotherapy among older adults with cancer (Geriatric Oncology); 2) Prostate Cancer, and 3) host factors affecting response to immune checkpoint inhibitors. She is a public health practitioner passionate about optimization of health outcomes among cancer patients.
She is a member of American Association of Cancer Research, American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Public Health Association, American College of Epidemiology, International Society of Clinical Oncology, and European Society of Medical Oncology.
