Urvashi Vaid graduated from Christian Medical College Vellore, India. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami, Florida. She then went to complete her fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care at Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia. She graduated with a Masters in Human Clinical Investigation - K-30 track simultaneously with her fellowship. Dr. Vaid currently is an attending physician in Pulmonary and Critical Care at Thomas Jefferson in center city Philadelphia. She is Director of Phase I of JeffMD the new medical school curriculum at SKMC.
Dr. Vaid's interests lie in education for medical students and fellows including simulation, epidemiology, critical care, communication, empathy and palliative care. She is involved in projects to improve communication of end of life decisions and medical education.
