Expertise & Research Interests
Dr. Evans is the Chief of the Brain Tumor Division at Jefferson and Past President of the North American Skull Base Society. He performs complex cranial, skull base, and endoscopic minimally invasive neurosurgery to treat a wide range of disorders and tumors of the brain and skull base, with a special emphasis on pituitary tumors. He is the co-director of the Minimally Invasive Cranial Base Surgery and Endoscopic Neurosurgery Center. Dr. Evans is also the founding director of the cranial base tumor bank, which involves molecular genetic research on the causes and treatment of brain tumors. He has authored three textbooks, published over 150 manuscripts and chapters, and has been named in Philadelphia “Top Docs” annually for over the past 10 years. In addition, he is the founder and director of the cranial base neurosurgery fellowship training program, which has become one of the most sought-after training programs nationally and internationally.
