With areas of study in architecture, business, design, engineering, fashion and textiles, health, science and social science, our professional education programs enable you to earn your degree in an interactive environment. At Jefferson, you will gain real-world experience and connections that prepare you to lead in your field of study.

Thomas Jefferson University and the University of the Arts have a shared history dating back nearly 150 years. Both were established as part of the Pennsylvania Museum and School of Industrial Art, which was founded soon after the 1876 Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia. The textiles department of that school broke off into the Philadelphia Textile School, later known as Philadelphia University and merged with Thomas Jefferson University in 2017. The rest of the original school became the University of the Arts, while the museum became the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
