College of Humanities & Sciences

Human interactions and environments are the focus of the Jefferson College of Humanities & Sciences, where we take an interdisciplinary approach to learning at the intersections of the liberal arts with the social and behavioral. Our students are prepared to succeed in the professional realm or to continue their academic studies at a higher level. No matter which path they choose our graduates are valued for their integrative thinking, collaborative work ethic and global perspective.

Biopsychology at Thomas Jefferson University combines course work across psychology and biological science, and focuses on the research aspect of psychology. The curriculum prepares for the allied health fields–nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, radiological technicians,  veterinarians, medical school, pharmaceutical industry and research.

Graduate eligible for the Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania and most other states.

Psychology BS/ Occupational Therapy OTD (3+3) at Thomas Jefferson University allows you to earn both your bachelor’s and doctoral degrees in six years. Collaborate with design students to develop assistive devices to support people in everyday activities; use state-of-the-art facilities to practice clinical skills such as assessment and intervention, and the application of therapeutic techniques; and work closely with practicing professionals who bring real-world concepts into the classroom.
