When the Devil Cried by Rachel Woerner

This piece was inspired by a poem I read about the Devil crying because of the state of the world and also has personal meaning to me, as crying eyes are a recurring symbol in my work. While painting, I was thinking about being in the CTC program and all of the trauma that people (future clients) go through. The painting was meant to represent a sadness so deep that it even makes the Devil cry.
