The Emotional Health and Wellness Program for House Staff (EHWP) prioritizes and supports the emotional health and well-being of Jefferson House Staff Officers and promotes the overall wellness of the Graduate Medical Education (GME) community through clinical services; consultation; innovative outreach with a focus on suicide prevention; and training and education. The years of residency and fellowship can be among the most exciting and gratifying of a person’s life. However, being a resident or fellow can also cause a significant amount of stress and uncertainty. The psychiatric physicians and therapists of the EHWP are available to provide the assistance and guidance House Staff Officers need to achieve personal and professional success. Staff members uphold honesty and integrity through strict confidentiality and the clinical and ethical standards of their professions. The EHWP values, respects, and supports diversity and House Staff Officers of all backgrounds.
The Emotional Health and Wellness Program for House Staff upholds the Mission, Vision & Values of Jefferson through the program’s personal mission, vision, and values.
