As Assistant Dean for Faculty Development and Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at Sidney Kimmel Medical College, Dr. Dimitrios Papanagnou supports the development and delivery of immersive faculty development programming in education, research, and professional development for faculty across Jefferson’s six colleges.

He has led programming that have addressed teaching in the clinical learning environment, patient safety and quality, active learning, simulation, emotional and social intelligence, team training and interprofessional education. He serves as the director of Jefferson’s in situ simulation program, where he supports the design and delivery of high-fidelity simulation training for clinicians, and provides ongoing mentorship for developing simulation champions.
