Jefferson Psychology Society
The Society meets on a monthly basis and is open to all psychology and biopsychology students. Guest speakers from within and outside the university provide valuable information regarding graduate school, study abroad, internship possibilities, and ongoing research. The Society participates in community service and fund-raising activities. The Society also sponsors field trips to diverse places such as the Mütter Museum in Philadelphia, the National Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC, and the Museum of Sex in New York City.
National Honor Society
Our psychology and biopsychology programs maintain a local chapter of the Psi Chi National Honor Society of Psychology. Psi Chi is the National Honor Society for Psychology, a member of the Association of College Honor Societies, and an affiliate of the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Association for Psychological Science (APS). The Society was founded in 1929 to promote excellence in scholarship and to advance the science of psychology. Membership in this society is nationally recognized as a laudatory achievement in the field of psychology. We offer an annual membership drive open to all psychology and biopsychology students who meet Psi Chi national requirements.
