Curriculum

Graduates of the PhD in Nursing program are prepared to work in academic, clinical, industry, and entrepreneurial research-intensive settings as nurse scientists and educators. Students learn to design, conduct, and lead research studies to launch an independent program of research under the guidance of a faculty mentor. The program shares courses with other Jefferson PhD programs and is embedded in a framework of social justice and health equity to spark innovative solutions to healthcare problems.

Content delivery will include synchronous in-person and interactive e-learning modules and asynchronous online collaboration/activities under the guidance of a faculty mentor.

47 credits to complete the PhD in Nursing in 4 years in Fall, Spring and Summer semesters. Accelerated options are available. For more information, please contact Program Director Bobbie Posmontier at JCNPhD@jefferson.edu.
