Bridge Pathway
Earn an MPH as a Bridge Student
Bridge students are enrolled in one of our partner institutions. They take up to four Master of Public Health (MPH) courses while still in undergraduate during their junior or senior year and the courses are applied to their undergraduate degree. After earning their bachelor’s degree, Bridge students continue to take courses in the MPH, either on a part-time or full-time basis. Jefferson's MPH program is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH).
JCPH supports students on the Bridge Pathway by providing a flexible course schedule and a host of supplemental activities and experiential learning opportunities. Classes are offered throughout the day, in the evening, and online to accommodate students’ schedules. Supplemental activities include a lecture series, journal clubs and registration to a nationally recognized conference on population health. Students on the Bridge Pathway also complete a field experience where they gain real world public health experience. Additionally, students on the Bridge Pathway work closely with faculty to design and complete an independent Capstone that focuses on a topic of their choice.

Partner Institutions
The Bridge Pathway is open to students enrolled at Rutgers University-Camden (RU-C). Students are eligible to apply to Jefferson’s MPH program if they have a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher on a 4 point scale for all baccalaureate work completed at RU-C. The student’s program director or academic advisor must also recommend the student for admission.
Accepted RU-C juniors and seniors, maintaining a 3.3 or better GPA, are eligible to take up to four MPH courses in their junior or senior year prior to graduating from RU-C.
While still enrolled as an undergraduate at Rutgers, tuition and fees for all approved pre-fall, fall, spring, and summer MPH courses are paid for by RU-C. To be approved, students must be registered for Rutgers undergraduate courses for the academic term.
Once students graduate from RU-C, they are responsible for paying for tuition and fees. They will receive a tuition discount and may receive financial aid assistance from Jefferson.
