  • Identification of drugs for off label use as non-opioid analgesics or opioid sparing adjuncts.
  • Identification of therapeutic synergies between anesthetic agents combined at sub-anesthetic concentrations.
  • Validating our anesthetic cocktail “KeLidoFol” in DNR/DNI patients requiring surgical anesthesia with an unprotected airway.
  • Improving techniques for Enhanced (Smooth, Rapid, Safe) Emergence from General Anesthesia.
  • Improving techniques to prevent Pulmonary Aspiration at time of Extubation.
  • Preserving Mitochondrial Function as a hedge against Refractory Shock (Vasoplegia) and to prevent  Ischemia Reperfusion Injury in Solid Organ Transplantation.
  • Perioperative Management of Implanted Cardiac Rhythm Management Devices.
  • Perioperative Management of “Hemostatic Competence” in patients with (therapeutic or pathologic) coagulation defects presenting for surgery.
